
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A pedestrian has died days after being involved in a hit-and-run, according to police.
On Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 12:38 p.m., Las Vegas Metro Police say Ramirez Constantino, 55, was struck in his wheelchair while traveling inside a parking lot on Tropicana Avenue.
Constantino was hit by a gray or silver SUV that then fled the scene. Police say the identity of the driver is unknown at this time.
Constantino was taken to Sunrise Hospital with serious injuries, where he later died.
Officials say the death marked the 102nd traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction.
