LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Human remains were found near Searchlight, officials with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management confirmed, prompting an active investigation by authorities.
Officials from the Bureau of Land Management confirmed the human remains were found near Searchlight to FOX5 on Tuesday.
Searchlight is located just over 55 miles southeast of Las Vegas on U.S. 95.
A Bureau of Land Management spokesperson was unable to share many details but confirmed that an active investigation is underway.
