LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Law enforcement officials believe a deadly shooting in California may have ties to Las Vegas, authorities said.

A news release from the Merced County Sheriff’s Office said a shooting occurred in July 2022 outside Atwater, California, which is about two hours east of San Jose.

Ruben Coronado, 23, and Eli Correa, 24, were killed in the shooting. An unidentified woman was critically injured.

Deputies said the suspects remain at large and are driving a silver 2020 Mazda CX-9. Investigators believe the vehicle and suspects may have ties to Las Vegas.

“We believe there are people in the community who may have seen or heard something that could help move this case forward,” a sheriff’s office spokesperson said. “Even the smallest detail could prove important.”
