LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — September 25 is now officially “Dolly Day” in Nashville, Tennessee, a tribute to the late country music icon and “9 to 5” singer, Dolly Parton.
It’s sparking a celebration in Clark County as well.
Local Dolly Parton tribute artist Kelly Vohnn went to county commissioners asking them to recognize Dolly, but she said the honor she received back was a surprise.

“I did a whole proposal for Dolly Parton Day, and everything was written about Dolly, and I received a proclamation from Tick Segerblom, the commissioner for Clark County, a proclamation for Kelly Vohnn Day for 9/25. I wasn’t expecting that at all,” Vohnn said.
Vohnn is now working with county leaders to make next September 25 an official “Dolly Parton Day” in Las Vegas.
