LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a serious traffic collision on Saturday afternoon after receiving a crash notification involving two vehicles.
The crash, near Nellis Avenue and Carey Boulevard which involved a Mercedes and a Honda sedan, resulted in multiple injuries requiring immediate medical attention.
Emergency responders transported six individuals to local hospitals following the collision, including 4 juveniles and two adults.
According to LVMPD officials, one juvenile sustained critical injuries and remains in serious condition. All other occupants transported were reported as stable with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities are advising motorists to avoid the area and seek alternate routes for the remainder of the evening as the investigation continues.
The road is expected to remain closed while detectives process the scene and gather evidence.
