LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A 60-year-old Las Vegas man is facing multiple felony charges, including murder, after allegedly shooting a woman and setting a house on fire in what police describe as a dispute among residents.
Incident Details
On February 20, 2026, at approximately 9:18 p.m., Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Communications received a report of shots fired and a house fire in the 1700 block of Gabriel Drive.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found William Hall armed with a firearm in the front yard of a residence that was engulfed in flames. Officers successfully took Hall into custody without incident.
Victim Discovered
As officers worked to evacuate people from the burning residence, they discovered a female victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds inside a recreational vehicle parked in the front yard. Officers immediately attempted to render aid, but when medical personnel arrived, the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Clark County Fire Department responded and extinguished the blaze. No other injuries were reported.
Investigation
The LVMPD Homicide Section was notified and responded to the scene to investigate. Through their investigation, detectives learned that Hall lived at the residence and had been experiencing ongoing conflicts with other residents over the past couple of months, including the victim.
Charges
Hall was booked into the Clark County Detention Center and faces several serious felony charges:
- Open Murder with a Deadly Weapon
- Six counts of Attempt Murder with a Deadly Weapon
- 1st Degree Arson
