LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — DNA evidence led UNLV police to a convicted felon now accused of attacking a student in her apartment near campus.
Jordan Grady, 36, appeared before a judge Tuesday.
According to an arrest report, the woman was asleep in her bedroom at the Legacy Las Vegas Apartments on April 14 when Grady broke in wearing a ski mask and holding a kitchen knife.

The report says he threatened and sexually assaulted her.
The victim fought back and suffered a deep cut to her arm before managing to lock herself in a bathroom and call 911.
Detectives used a DNA match from a national database to identify Grady.
A search of his white Tesla turned up a ski mask and knife that matched the victim’s description.
Grady is facing multiple felony charges, including sexual assault and kidnapping.
He is due back in court on May 5.
