LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — BetMGM is bringing its poker championship back to the Las Vegas Strip this summer.
The BetMGM Poker Championship returns to Aria Resort and Casino with a $4 million guaranteed prize pool. That’s up $1 million from last year.
The no-limit hold ‘em event runs Monday, June 29, through Saturday, July 4, inside Aria’s poker room. It’s the centerpiece of the Aria Poker Classic, which runs from May 29 through July 13.
Online qualifiers available in three states
BetMGM says online players in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan can win their way in through satellite tournaments starting at $10. Qualifiers can earn a $3,500 championship seat, hotel stay, and $500 cash, or a $7,200 Aria package.
BetMGM’s director of poker calls the event a “seamless road to the rail from your living room to Las Vegas.” MGM Resorts says the $4 million guarantee shows how fast the championship is growing.
Final online qualifiers run June 21 through June 23. Schedules and registration details are posted on the BETMGM website. Live coverage will also be available to the poker championship stream.
