LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department cold case detectives are appealing to the public for tips to solve a homicide case dating back nearly 40 years.
Investigators said that on May 21, 1989, 25-year-old Tracy Jackson was discovered severely beaten near an abandoned pickup truck in the downtown Las Vegas area. She died from her injuries, and her killer has never been identified.

Now, 37 years later, detectives are urging anyone who may possess information about Jackson’s death or who she was with before the attack to contact law enforcement.
Detectives emphasized that even minor recollections could provide critical leads in uncovering who was responsible.
