LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Las Vegas tourism authority hosted multiple free gas giveaways in Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Diego on Thursday, hoping to entice visitors ahead of a packed summer season.
According to the LVCVA, the campaign was part of its summer travel campaign and offered 100 drivers up to $100 dollars in complimentary gas. They add that the giveaway was an effort to “provide a bit of relief at the pump while inspiring travelers to start thinking about their next Vegas getaway.”

The drivers also received a $60 gas card that could be used to fill up their tanks “on their next road trip to Las Vegas,” the LVCVA said.
Drivers were also given opportunities for Vegas-inspired photo shoots and a chance to win a Las Vegas getaway.
The giveaway comes as the LVCVA gears up for their America250 fireworks shows, No Doubt’s residency at the Sphere kicks off, multiple summer resort deals across multiple properties.
