Year-to-date, the airport has seen 16,935,330 travelers, down from 17,940,001 travelers this time last year. That’s a drop of about 5.6%.
In April, the airport saw another steep decline in international travel, with just 272,386 travelers passing through, a drop of 12.4%.
The department noted it has not received passenger data from Spirit Airlines, following the company’s collapse at the beginning of May.
To complete the report, officials used ratios of the Spirit’s data from the last three months.
