LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A Las Vegas man is dead after a crash in the east valley Thursday night, police said.

Officials with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the crash happened just after 5:30 p.m. at Lamb Boulevard and Karen Avenue. Police said it involves a 2021 Kia Soul and a 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle.

According to Metro’s investigation, the man rode a stolen motorcycle north on Lamb Boulevard. At the same moment, the driver of the Soul, a 35-year-old woman, wanted to make a left turn on Lamb to go east on Karen Avenue.

Police said a crash happened when the rider struck the right side of the Kia as it was making a left turn. The rider fell to the ground.

Medical arrived, and despite life-saving measures, the rider died at the scene. Police said the driver of the Kia stayed at the crash and cooperated. Police said she showed no signs of impairment. She was transported to Sunrise Hospital for “minor” injuries, police say.
