LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The first week of witness testimony is set to wrap up on Friday with three witnesses expected to take the stand and another audio click expected to be played.
On Thursday, the jury heard from one witness and a several hours long recording of a 2008 police interview Duane ‘Keffe D’ Davis had with detectives.
So far, the jury has heard from fifteen witnesses.
16th witness- Leonard Jefferson.
He took the very last picture of Tupac when he was alive.

9:12 a.m.
Jury returns to the courtroom and the first witness of the day is called.
The witness is identified as Leonard Jefferson, someone who was staying at the Monte Carlo to attend the Mike Tyson. Did not actually attend and sold tickets in the lobby.
Saw Tupac before the fight in the lobby and had previous interactions with him in LA.
Jefferson details taking a photo of Tupac and Suge Knight while on their way to the fight, a photo that has been popular displayed since the murder.
Continues to detail what happened after the shooting, including officers drawing guns on him and ordering him out of his car. Saw officers take Tupac out of the car.
He says he is released and goes back to his hotel but later the police officer found him and told him to come back to the scene, stating that they “messed up.”
A photo is displayed that shows Jefferson with four other men. Says the photo is taken after he returned to the scene. He then tells police about the photo taken of Tupac and Suge Knight at the stop light.
Develops the camera weeks later and sees the photo. Notes that the photo has become famous. Notes that there have been theories that Jefferson had staged the scene.
Talks about working in the movie industry currently.
He is asked directly if he staged the scene.
“I did not,” Jefferson replies.
9:35 a.m.
Cross examination begins.
The defense notes that the picture was used in a book. Jefferson says he gave permission for the photo to be used.
A map is then displayed and Jefferson indicates where he took the photo.
9:43 a.m.
Jury question is taken.
Q: Can you recall the name of the detective who introduce himself to you the night when you arrived back on the scene?
Jefferson: Kevin Manning.
9:45 a.m.
Next witness is called up: Mario Diaz, a filmmaker.
Notes being contacted to help make the Death Row Records documentary, Death Row Chronicles. A sizzle reel is played of the documentary, which is said to have been made before Diaz joined the project.
Notes that six episodes aired on the BET network. Each is about an hour long. Series looks into the whole history of Death Row Records. Says Davis has small role in the series.
Notes that episode six talks about the Tupac murder investigation. Diaz says he used the 2008 proffer for the episode.
A clip from the series showing Davis walking in the area of the shooting is shown. Diaz and the state breakdown what parts of the episode came from the proffer recording and from their interview.
