LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Vegas Golden Knights have traded forward Keegan Kolesar to the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2029 NHL Draft and a seventh-round pick in the 2027 NHL Draft, Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon announced Tuesday.

Kolesar, 29, played all 82 games for Vegas in the 2025-26 season, marking the second straight year he appeared in every contest. He totaled 120 points (44 goals, 76 assists) in 439 career NHL games — all with the Golden Knights.

The Winnipeg, Manitoba, native set career highs in 2024-25 with 12 goals, 18 assists and 30 points.

He also was part of the Golden Knights’ 2023 Stanley Cup championship team.
