LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — To celebrate America’s 250th birthday on Saturday, the Las Vegas Strip fireworks display is being designed and fired by Fireworks by Grucci, a family company now in its fifth generation.
CEO Phil Grucci said the show will stretch about 3.5 miles along Las Vegas Boulevard, with seven additional locations at Station Casinos around the valley — all choreographed to launch simultaneously.
Months of planning behind the launch
Grucci said the preparation begins long before the 9 p.m. launch, including moving crews and equipment, securing permits, and coordinating safety planning with Clark County Fire and Metro. The show is controlled by high-tech wireless firing systems.
Grucci said the event is meant to bring people together.
“We’re celebrating our independence, we’re celebrating freedom. For this moment, put all the problems behind you, look left, look right — everyone has the same expression when they’re looking up at the sky. Just celebrate America’s 250th,” Grucci said.
The show fires at 9 p.m., with viewing available all along the Strip and at participating casinos across the valley.
