LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas police said the suspect in a horse cruelty case seen on social media has turned himself in.
Officials with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the suspect has been identified as 62-year-old Guadalupe Camarillo Guarneros. Police say he turned himself in Friday.
LVMPD’s Animal Cruelty Section found a social media video on June 27 showing the incident. Police said it showed a white single-cab pickup truck pulling a dark-colored horse with white markings.

Neighbors told police the horse was later found dead in front of a residence in the 1300 block of Ringe Lane, near Nellis Boulevard and Washington Avenue.

Metro’s Animal Cruelty Section launched an investigation. Police said Camarillo Guarneros has been booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a charge of animal abuse.
