LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Las Vegas Raiders are planning to release Wide Receiver Hunter Renfrow, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.
The 28-year-old former Pro-Bowler’s release is the latest move in the Raiders’ roster reconstruction – a move that will save the Silver and Black around $8 million.
The receiver addressed Raiders fan in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying, “Raider Nation, thank you for welcoming me and my family in the last 5 years.”
The post continued, “5 years went by quick… Once a Raider, Always a Raider.”
The receiver fell out of the offense last season after the Raiders added Jakobi Meyers.
Renfrow set a career-high for himself in 2021, going over a thousand yards, making 103 catches, and nine touchdowns. But over the last two season, he’s had a combined total of just 585 yards.
The Raiders have yet to confirm Renfrow’s release.
