LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Clark County and the Daughters of the American Revolution will dedicate a Revolutionary War Patriots Marker at Old Spanish Trail Park on Tara Avenue on Monday, Aug. 10, at 10 a.m.
The permanent marker honors men and women who fought for or supported American independence during the Revolutionary War.

Part of the nation’s 250th anniversary
The ceremony is part of the nation’s 250th anniversary commemoration, marking a quarter millennium since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Commissioner Justin Jones thanked the Daughters of the American Revolution for donating the marker, saying it helps keep the spirit, sacrifice and legacy of the founders visible in everyday life.
The Daughters of the American Revolution is a nonprofit women’s service organization that promotes patriotism and preserves American history.
Residents and visitors are invited to visit Old Spanish Trail Park to see the new marker.
