LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The body of fallen Las Vegas police officer Austin Abdelnabi has returned to his home state of South Carolina.
Abdelnabi was born and raised in Greenville and will be put to rest in that city. He was shot and killed while responding to a man with a gun, where he was ambushed as he got to the scene.
His body arrived Monday night. A law enforcement escort took him to a funeral home in Greenville.
He will later be buried in a veteran’s ceremony in Anderson. The Las Vegas community held a ceremony in his honor last week.
