LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A suspect already in custody on unrelated charges has been rebooked for murder in connection with the shooting death of a woman found on a Las Vegas sidewalk last month.
Oscar Perez, 40, was rebooked on Friday, Aug. 21, 2026, at the Clark County Detention Center, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Perez face charges of open murder, conspiracy murder, buying, possessing, or receiving stolen property valued between $25,000 and $100,000, own or possess gun by prohibited person, and discharging a gun within a structure or vehicle within a prohibited area.
The July Homicide
The arrest stems from an investigation that began in the early morning hours of July 9, 2026.
At approximately 3:14 a.m., LVMPD Communications received a report of an unresponsive female lying on the sidewalk in the 1200 block of North Eastern Avenue.
Responding officers located the woman lying on the ground with what were initially described as unknown facial injuries. Medical personnel pronounced her deceased at the scene.
An investigator with the Clark County Coroner’s Office later confirmed the victim had been shot.
She was identified as 41-year-old Lucy Robledo.
Police have not disclosed a motive or whether Perez and Robledo were known to each other.
