LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas Motor Speedway announced Wednesday that its annual fall race at The Bullring, held during NASCAR weekend, will be named the Kyle Busch Classic.
The inaugural Kyle Busch Classic will be held Friday, Oct. 2.
“The Bullring has been home to so many unforgettable moments throughout its history, and Kyle Busch has been at the center of many of them,” said Patrick Lindsey, senior vice president and general manager of Las Vegas Motor Speedway. “Establishing the Kyle Busch Classic ensures Kyle’s impact at The Bullring will continue to inspire future generations of racers and create a signature event fans can look forward to every fall. We are proud to recognize everything Kyle has accomplished and celebrate the place where his racing began.”

Busch, a Las Vegas native, began his racing career at The Bullring before going on to win NASCAR championships and races at the sport’s highest level.
Busch also competed at The Bullring, where he won two track championships as a young driver. He later returned to the track with his son, Brexton, during the Battle of the Busches.
The Kyle Busch Classic will be held each fall at The Bullring during NASCAR weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
“The Bullring is where it all began for Kyle,” said Samantha Busch. “It’s where he fell in love with racing, where his dad, Tom, first taught him the sport, and where he spent countless nights racing alongside his brother, Kurt, while his mom and grandma cheered them on. Those early years shaped not only the driver the world came to know but the husband, father, and person we loved so deeply.
“Having Kyle’s legacy honored at The Bullring is incredibly special to our family. Knowing his name will forever be part of the place that gave him his start is something I’ll always cherish. The last time he raced there, he was racing against Brexton in the Battle of the Busches. None of us could have known then how precious those laps together would become, but I’m so thankful they had that time together doing what they both loved. I couldn’t imagine a memory Kyle would have loved more than sharing his home track with his son.
“Thank you for helping us honor the incredible man Kyle was and for continuing to surround our family with so much love and support as we navigate this difficult season.”
Spectator gates will open at 4 p.m., opening ceremonies will begin at 5:30 p.m., and racing action will begin at 6:10 p.m.
