LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — North Las Vegas wants to hear from residents about trees and shade in their neighborhoods.
The city just launched its first Urban Forestry Community Survey. It’s online through Oct. 31 here.
The feedback will help guide a long-term plan to plant more than 35,000 climate-adapted trees by 2051 and grow the city’s tree canopy from just under 3% to 4%.

City leaders say more trees can cut urban heat, lower energy use, and reduce heat-related health problems.
North Las Vegas has also partnered with groups like Nevada Plants to give away trees to residents and has planted nearly 2,200 trees in the past two years.
