LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Nevada Health Link and the Nevada Health Authority are giving new funding to 16 community organizations across the state to put trained enrollment helpers where people already go for services.
Last open enrollment, more than 70,000 Nevadans who used Nevada Health Link got assistance from a licensed professional. Demand is still high as people move between Medicaid and marketplace plans and face new rules and deadlines.

Under the expanded Enrollment Assister Grant Program, certified application counselors and exchange enrollment facilitators will now be stationed inside community health centers, food banks, youth groups and human-service agencies. They will offer free, in-person, phone and virtual help finding, enrolling in and keeping coverage.
The $2 million expansion was approved by state lawmakers through Senate Bill 4 during the 36th Special Legislative Session.
The 16 Enrollment Assister agencies and the areas they serve include:
- Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows – Humboldt, Lyon, Nye, Pershing, Washoe, White Pine
- Children’s Cabinet – Clark, Elko, Washoe
- Community Health Alliance (CHA) – Lyon, Washoe
- Fallon Paiute Shoshone Tribes – Rural and tribal communities within and surrounding the Lovelock Paiute Tribe in Pershing County and the Yomba Shoshone Tribe in Nye County
- Food Bank of Northern Nevada – Douglas, Humboldt, Lander, Lyon, Pershing, Washoe
- Future Smiles – Clark
- Hope Christian Health Center – Clark, Nye
- Lyon County Human Services – Lyon
- Mesa View Regional Hospital – Clark (Mesquite)
- Nevada Health Centers (NVHC) – Carson City, Elko, Lyon, Nye, Storey
- Nevada Outreach Training Organization – Nye
- Northern Nevada Hopes – Washoe
- Promotoras Las Vegas – Clark
- Restoration and Recovery Foundation – Clark
- Toni’s House – Clark
- Vegas Stronger – Clark
