LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A pedestrian has been hospitalized with serious injuries Tuesday morning after being struck by a vehicle.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian around 5:05 a.m. on Boulder Highway near Nellis Boulevard.

The pedestrian was determined to have serious injuries, and was transported to a nearby hospital, police say.
Police add that it is unknown if the injuries are life-threatening at this time.
The intersection will be closed for further investigation.
The public is advised to avoid the area, or expect delays.
