LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – One person is being treated for critical injuries following a hit-and-run crash in east Las Vegas Wednesday morning.
Police said the crash happened around 2:26 a.m. at North Pecos Road and East Bonanza Road.
The driver of a Kia Soul with three passengers was traveling on Pecos and was approaching Bonanza. Police said the driver failed to stop at a red signal and hit a Honda Pilot the was driving with a green light.
The debris from the crash also hit a Nissan Altima that stopped at the intersection.
Police said the crash caused the Kia to rotate and leave one of its passengers on the roadway. the driver and the other passengers of the Kia fled the area, police said.
Medical arrived and transported the passenger to UMC Trauma where he remains in critical condition. He is 19 years old.
The driver of the Honda, a 38-year-old woman, was transported to the hospital and was later released. The driver of the Nissan, a 30-year-old from Las Vegas, had injuries but remained at the scene.”“Pecos Road at the intersection with East Bonanza Road.
