LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A man is dead and another is fighting for his life following a shooting Friday morning in the northwest valley, police say.
Around 5:07 a.m. the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of the shooting in the 4800 block of North Tioga Way, near Buffalo and Lone Mountain roads. Arriving officers would locate two people suffering from gunshot wounds inside a residence.
One victim was identified as a man in his 40s, and would later die at the scene. The additional victim would be transported to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
During a briefing, LVMPD Lt. Jason Johansson revealed that the two victims were inside the residence with multiple other people before the shooting. He added that its currently unclear whether the two men shot each other, or if another suspect was involved.
