LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Nevada Highway Patrol investigated a fatal crash on northbound Interstate 11 near the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard northbound on-ramp late Saturday night.
Troopers responded to the scene Saturday, Aug. 1, at 10:54 p.m. The crash involved an SUV and a pedestrian. One adult male pedestrian was confirmed dead at the scene.

Road closures
All northbound I-11 travel lanes were closed at I-11 and Casino Center. Traffic was diverted to the northbound I-11/Casino Center on-ramp toward northbound I-15. The lanes have since reopened.
Nevada Highway Patrol said further information would be provided following the preliminary investigation.
Authorities asked motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes during the closure.
