LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Athletics greats Rollie Fingers, Jason Giambi and Dave Stewart swapped the ballpark for a hospital visit this week, spending time with pediatric patients at Sunrise Children’s Hospital, according to a press release.
The former players were joined by Athletics broadcasters Jenny Cavnar and Amelia Schimmel, along with the team’s mascot, Stomper, during the visit to the Las Vegas children’s hospital, organizers said.

According to HCA Healthcare, in partnership with Once Upon a Room Las Vegas Sunrise, the Athletics distributed comfort kits to children and families in the pediatric unit and pediatric intensive care unit. The kits included blankets, stuffed animals and other items, according to the team.
The organization is also sponsoring personalized room makeovers for two Sunrise Children’s Hospital patients, said the release.
