LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Sen. Jacky Rosen said she helped secure $10 million in federal funding for Boulder City Municipal Airport.

The money will pay for building and operating a new air traffic control tower. It comes through the FAA’s Contract Tower Program, funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Rosen helped write and pass.

Rosen called Boulder City the third-busiest airport in Nevada and said it is critical to keep the facility safe and efficient to support southern Nevada’s economy.

Her office said she previously secured more than $18 million for Nevada airports, including about $2.3 million for past infrastructure upgrades at Boulder City. This year, she also backed $20 million for renovations at Reno-Tahoe International and $9 million for projects at Harry Reid International Airport.
