LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Clark County School District announced that its police department arrested an employee on Feb. 21.

According to a CCSD release, CCSDPD arrested Rima Villaret, 59, on Wednesday. She was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on three counts of child abuse or neglect, three counts of battery on a vulnerable person, and one count of false imprisonment.

The district added that the arrest stemmed from an investigation initiated at C.V.T. Gilbert Elementary School on Wednesday. Villaret is an Early Childhood/Special Education teacher and has been employed by the District since July 2016.

She will be assigned to home per the terms of the negotiated agreement with the employee’s bargaining unit and will not be allowed on campus.
