LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Clark County Medical Society hosted its 72nd Annual Presidential Installation and Awards Ceremony on Friday at Encore Las Vegas.
The event brought together physicians, healthcare leaders, first responders, nonprofit organizations and community advocates from across Southern Nevada.

American Medical Association President Dr. Willie Underwood III attended the ceremony and joined local healthcare leaders in recognizing medical professionals and community partners.
Leadership transition
Dr. Kathleen Benson was installed as the new president of the Clark County Medical Society during the ceremony.
The organization thanked Dr. George Isaacs and the 2025-2026 CCMS Board of Directors for their service.
Awards presented
The society presented Winged Heart Awards to individuals and organizations in the health field, including first responders and nurses.
Boys Town Nevada was recognized for its work supporting children and families across the community.
Community partners recognized
The society recognized community partners and sponsors, including Roseman University, Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada and Vegas PBS.
Dr. Gurmeet Singh and Dr. Kathleen Benson received recognition for their work planning the event.
