LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A woman injured during an August 10 domestic dispute and subsequent officer-involved shooting has died, online records show.

According to the Clark County Coroner’s Office, 47-year-old Nichole Drummond was pronounced dead on Sunday, August 30. Her cause of death was listed as sequalae of thermal injuries with gunshot wound of right leg listed as other significant cause.

Officers responded to a home at the 4500 block of Pigeon Point Court on Monday, August 10 after a woman called 911 stating that her boyfriend was attempting to set her on fire with a blowtorch and was also shot.

The suspect opened fire through a door, wounding Officer Zaira Venegas-Hernandez, 36. At the time, officials said the officer was in stable condition. The suspect would later be found dead inside the home, along with a young girl.

Police say the woman was able to escape the residence and was located by officers, where she was treated for her injuries. At the time, the severity of those injuries were unknown.
