LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Cox Communications hosted a free back-to-school fair Saturday at Meadows Mall, bringing together about 50 booths from Clark County School District departments and community organizations to help families prepare for the upcoming school year.
The event gave families access to CCSD representatives covering meal plans and transportation, youth programs including the Boys and Girls Clubs, local museums, and free school supplies. Spy Ninja HQ was listed as a presenting sponsor.

Second fair set for Aug. 8
A second Cox Back-to-School Fair is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 8, at Boulevard Mall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The first 500 children will receive a free backpack. Free school-required immunizations, billed through insurance, will also be available.
“Our plan and our desire is that you can get everything done for the school year in one afternoon,” said Kallie Peeples, Senior Public Affairs Specialist for Cox Communications Las Vegas. “You can come, get your vaccines, get your backpack, do some school shopping, get your free resources, and then be ready to go back to school.”
Peeples said families are encouraged to arrive early to get in line for backpacks and immunizations, with the first day of school approximately one week away.
