LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — More than five hours after polls closed across Nevada, initial election results have begun rolling in, showing Democrats with early leads in several prominent statewide and local contests.
Early numbers indicate Democratic candidates leading in the Nevada gubernatorial race, the contest for U.S. House District 2, and the race for Reno mayor.
Early Totals Offer First Snapshot
The initial figures provide the first glimpse into the outcome of some of Nevada’s most closely watched campaigns. However, election officials stress that these early returns remain unofficial.
Totals are expected to shift as county election departments continue processing, verifying, and tallying ballots over the coming days.
FOX5 will monitor incoming returns and update its election results page continuously as additional counts are certified and released.
