LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – An early morning mobile home fire left an elderly woman dead in Moapa Valley.

The Moapa Valley Fire District says crews got called out to a house in Logandale sometime after midnight to find the trailer engulfed in flames. Initial reports indicated two people may be trapped inside, so firefighters transitioned into rescue mode and entered the burning home.

Firefighters say they found an elderly woman in the shower. Despite immediate life-saving measures, she died at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released.

The Moapa Valley Fire District, Clark County Fire arson investigators, and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are working together to determine how the fire started, and if any suspicious circumstances were involved.
