LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian in Pahrump.
Officials said the crash happened just before 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6 along northbound State Route 160, just south of Winery Road.
A preliminary investigation found that a white 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan SE was traveling northbound when it struck a pedestrian who was walking in the travel lane. The pedestrian was hit by the vehicle’s right front and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s identity will be released by the Coroner’s Office after next-of-kin notification.

So far this year, the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Southern Command has investigated 25 fatal crashes resulting in 28 fatalities.
