LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Harry Reid International Airport expects a busy Labor Day weekend and is offering advice to help travelers avoid delays.
The airport says drivers picking someone up should skip circling the curb and use the free cell phone lot on Kitty Hawk Way instead. The lot is open daily from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.

When guests are ready, drivers should meet them at the numbered columns in the passenger pickup areas for faster connections. If guests are running late, drivers cannot park at the curb. The airport recommends using short-term parking, where the first 15 minutes are free, or looping back to the cell phone lot.
Travelers heading out of town should plan extra time to get to the airport. The airport connector tunnel is being repaved, with lanes reduced most of the day and down to one lane overnight in both directions. Other road work near the airport could also slow travelers down.
For departures, the airport recommends reserving parking ahead of time online, using mobile check-in on the airline’s app and checking estimated TSA wait times at harryreidairport.com.
Travelers are also urged to review their airline’s baggage rules and visit tsa.gov or message “AskTSA” on social media with questions about what they can pack.
