LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Harry Reid International Airport ranks fifth among the 20 busiest U.S. airports for lost and found complaints, according to new data published by travel-tech company Holafly.
The analysis found Harry Reid logged a combined total of 4,516 complaints — including 4,388 lost-and-found complaints and 128 mishandled property complaints — over a 10-year period, translating to approximately 15.79 complaints per million passengers.

How Harry Reid compares nationally
Orlando International Airport ranked first with 19.19 complaints per million passengers, followed by New York JFK International at 18.30 and Miami International at 18.25. Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International ranked fourth at 17.84 complaints per million passengers before Harry Reid’s 15.79.
Los Angeles International and Newark Liberty International rounded out the top seven, at 15.27 and 15.26 complaints per million passengers, respectively.

Most commonly lost item at Harry Reid
Among the five commonly tracked lost items — phones, AirPods, laptops, wallets, and keys — keys generated the highest search interest among travelers at Harry Reid International, with a total search volume of 1,360, according to the analysis.
Holafly used TSA complaint data from The Data Liberation Project, covering mishandling and lost-and-found complaints per one million passengers from 2015 to 2025 across the 20 busiest U.S. airports. Search interest for lost items was analyzed using Keywordtool.io. Data is current as of June 30, 2026.
