LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the death of a woman found on an east Las Vegas sidewalk early Thursday morning.
Police say LVMPD Communications received a report just after 3 a.m. Thursday, July 9, of an unresponsive woman on the sidewalk in the 1200 block of North Eastern Avenue, near Washington.
Officers arrived and found the woman with unknown facial injuries. Medical personnel responded and pronounced her dead at the scene.

The LVMPD Homicide Section was notified and responded. With assistance from the coroner investigator and after a close examination of the body, investigators located a second wound that appeared to be a gunshot wound.
