LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Award-winning actor, director, and producer Jason Priestley will serve as grand marshal for the Focused Health 302 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series playoff race on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Priestley will join fans for Saturday’s pre-race festivities before delivering the command to start engines ahead of the 4:30 p.m. race. The event will air live on The CW.

“I’ve had a lifelong passion for motorsports, so being asked to serve as grand marshal for the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a real honor,” Priestley said. “There’s nothing quite like the energy and excitement of being at the track, and I’m looking forward to being part of an incredible race weekend — especially with all the action airing on The CW. I can’t wait to give the command to start those engines!”
Priestley’s involvement in racing extends far beyond spectator status. He previously competed in the SCCA Pro Rally Series before transitioning to circuit racing, including stints in IMSA GTS and other series. Additionally, he provided commentary and driver interviews for ABC’s IndyCar telecasts and held an ownership stake in IndyCar racing with the FAZZT Race Team.

Best known for his iconic role as Brandon Walsh on the hit 1990s television drama Beverly Hills, 90210, Priestley has built an extensive body of work as both an actor and director. His recent television and film credits include Wild Cards, Börje, All There Is, and Mort sur la piste (Death on the Racetrack).
Speedway leadership praised Priestley’s unique blend of racing experience and entertainment background.
