LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The matchup is set for the upcoming Pacific Coast League (PCL) Championship series in Las Vegas next week.
The Las Vegas Aviators will host the PCL second half winners, Oklahoma City Comets, in the best of three series starting on Tuesday, September 22.
This follows the team’s 12-0 shutout win over the El Paso Chihuahuas on Wednesday, while the second-place Sugar Land Space Cowboys dropped their first two games against the Aviators in Texas.
The Comets are the Triple-A affiliates of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Aviators are currently closing out their last regular reason series against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys before heading back to Las Vegas for the playoff series.
In the International League, a second half winner has yet to be crowned as the Rochester Red Wings, Triple-A affiliates of the Washington Nationals, hold a slim half game lead against the Indianapolis Indians, Triple-A affiliates of the Pittsburg Pirates.
Three other teams are also within two and a half games out of first place. The winner will then square off against first half winners Memphis Redbirds, Triple-A affiliates of the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Triple-A Championship Game between the winners of the Pacific Coast and International Leagues is slated to take place on Saturday, September 26 at the Las Vegas Ballpark.
