LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Several events in downtown Las Vegas this month will bring road closures tied to festivals and public celebrations, including First Friday in the Arts District and a Juneteenth festival at The Smith Center.

First Friday, a monthly art, music and food festival in the 18b Las Vegas Arts District, is scheduled for Friday, June 5. Road closures are set to begin at 6 a.m., with roads reopening at 1 a.m. Saturday, June 6. Major closures include Boulder Avenue to Hoover Avenue, Art Way to First Street, and Main Street from Charleston Boulevard to Coolidge Avenue.
Also on June 5, Friends and Family Promotions will host a party extending onto the La Mona Rosa patio on Sixth Street. The road closure is scheduled to start at 6 p.m., with streets reopening at 4 a.m. June 6. Sixth Street between Fremont Street and the alley will be closed.
Ward 5’s 25th annual Juneteenth Festival is set for Saturday, June 20, from 4 to 9 p.m. at The Smith Center and Symphony Park. Organizers said the free event will include vendors, food trucks and live performances. Ticketed performances are also scheduled at Myron’s inside The Smith Center and will feature R&B singer Christopher Williams.
Event setup is planned for June 19 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Road closures will begin at 10 a.m. June 20 and are expected to reopen at 10 p.m. June 20. Symphony Park Avenue between Promenade Place and South City Parkway will be closed.
The 702 Market, featuring local vendors and food trucks, is scheduled for Saturday, June 27. Road closures are expected to start at 8 a.m. and reopen at 10 p.m. Fremont Street from 11th Street east to the alley will be closed.
