LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign will glow pink Wednesday morning to mark “Flavor Flav’s SHE Weekend,” an event celebrating women’s athletics.
Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom will host a ceremony at the landmark at 9 a.m. July 15, according to an announcement.

“Every time we light this sign, we send a message about who we are as a community,” Segerblom said in a statement. He said the celebration highlights the momentum behind women’s sports and shows Clark County is a place “where all athletes can shine.”
Flavor Flav said he is “honored” to host female athletes in Las Vegas for the weekend and described the schedule as “action-packed.” He said lighting the Las Vegas sign is a fitting way to begin the event.
Organizers said SHE Weekend will bring together athletes, fans and community leaders from across the region to spotlight local and national competitors while encouraging greater visibility, opportunity and investment in women’s athletics.
