LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officer was arrested July 4 and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a charge of battery constituting domestic violence, police said.
The Clark County District Attorney’s Office later amended the case July 6 to include one count each of child abuse, neglect or endangerment, battery, and battery constituting domestic violence, first offense, according to LVMPD.

Officer Jerry Wheeler has worked for the department since 2019 and is assigned to the Convention Center Area Command’s Tourist Safety Division, police said.
LVMPD said Wheeler will be suspended of police powers without pay while the case is investigated further.
Warren is set to appear in court on Sept. 2.
