NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The North Las Vegas Police Department said a wheelchair user died in a crash with a pickup truck Friday morning.

Police said the crash happened in the area of Owens Avenue and Main Street around 11:15 a.m. Officers responded after receiving reports of a collision involving the pedestrian and pickup.

Police said the wheelchair user is a man estimated to be in his 50s and the driver’s vehicle is a Ford F350 truck.

Medical arrived and transported the pedestrian to UMC Trauma where he later died. The driver remained on scene and according to police speed and impairment are not factors in the crash.

“The identification of the deceased, along with the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office,” police said.
