LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Michele Fiore is appealing her suspension from the bench to the Nevada Supreme Court.

On Monday, the Nevada Commission on Judicial Discipline ruled to suspend Fiore with pay from her office as a Pahrump Justice of the Peace.

This is the second time the commission has ruled to suspend her, though they repealed her previous suspension without pay. The latest motion would allow her to still receive a salary.

The former Las Vegas councilwoman was found guilty of several counts of wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud in October 2024.

Fiore is convicted of pocketing donations for personal use and her daughter’s wedding when the funds were promised for a police officers’ memorial.

She was pardoned by President Donald Trump in late April.

Fiore’s statement shared with FOX5 reads in part, “This order reflects a lack of impartiality and a violation of my constitutional rights. Even more disturbing, they suspended me in part based on complaints that were never subject to the hearing, and never disclosed in any official notice. This is a fundamental failure of due process.”
