LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Henderson Police and Fire departments are gearing up for the return of National Night Out, an annual event designed to strengthen the bond between residents and local first responders.
The free, family-friendly event will take over the Water Street Plaza on Tuesday, October 6, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., offering the community an opportunity to connect directly with the departments that serve them.
Attendees can look forward to live demonstrations, including a high-angle rappelling exercise by the Henderson Police SWAT team and a presentation by the Motors unit. Meanwhile, Henderson Fire will showcase its emergency engines up close and perform live safety demonstrations.

In addition to dozens of local community partners, Animal Protection Services will be on hand hosting onsite pet adoptions for a discounted rate of $25.
