LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Las Vegas officials and Century Communities kicked off construction of Igor Soldo Memorial Park, a new Skye Canyon tribute to the fallen Metro officer.
Mayor Shelley Berkley, Councilwoman Nancy Brune, and representatives from Metro Police and Century Communities gathered at the future site at Iron Mountain Road and Alpine Ridge Way on Tuesday.
Officer Igor Soldo and Officer Alyn Beck were ambushed and killed while at eating at a Cici’s Pizza near Stewart and Nellis on June 8, 2014.
A separate Alyn Beck Memorial Park was also built and opened back in 2020. It is located at 9220 Brent Lane, near Skye Canyon Park Drive and I-11.

Igor Soldo Memorial Park will feature a playground, water play area, soccer fields, and pickleball courts, and is set to open in early 2027.
