LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A new video from Clark County shows the suspect accused of using a knife to threaten motorists and confront officers at Wetlands Park on Tuesday morning.
According to the Office of Public Safety, the suspect is described as a white male in his 40s, weighing around 190 pounds, and wearing a camouflage jacket, blue jeans, and a baseball cap.
At approximately 2 a.m., Las Vegas police responded to a call about a man armed with knives confronting a motorist near the park. About an hour later, the suspect called police to inform them that he was planning to do damage “within the park.”
Police located the suspect, who fled on foot when confronted by police. He has not been located since.
The park remained closed on Tuesday out of an abundance of caution but is scheduled to reopen on Wednesday.
