LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Paralyzed Veterans of America honored Allegiant Stadium Monday for its accessibility features for fans with disabilities.

At a ceremony inside the venue, PVA presented its 2026 “Barrier Free America” award to Allegiant Stadium, the Las Vegas Stadium Authority and the Las Vegas Raiders.

The group says the stadium’s accessible design and services help paralyzed veterans and others with mobility challenges enjoy games and concerts without facing the barriers they often see elsewhere.

“It makes me feel like I’m a normal person. It gives me the abilities to enjoy the stadium. It gives me the freedom to move around,” said Jason Kelly, treasurer for the Nevada chapter of the PVA. “I’m able to order food. I’m able to get a good seat. I’m able to use the restroom. I’m able to move freely around, just like everybody else is able to.”

PVA says more than a third of people with mobility disabilities miss important events because of access issues and is recognizing Allegiant Stadium as a national example of how to do accessible design.
